Yesterday morning my partner went out to the rats to find a very bloody rat and a very blood splattered cage. On inspection it was coming from the eye of a young doe, and we thought she was going to have to loose it. Unbelievably once we had calmed her down and cleaned her up to get a proper look it was just a small bite under her eye.
Looking at her today you wouldnt even notice anything wrong with her.

Its been over a year since I updated this blog, to be fair though I've been rather busy! We last had kittens here last spring and then I decided to have a breeding break due to expecting our 2nd son. Our baby is now 6months old and we have also recently moved house and now is the time for us to restart our breeding plans.
It has been decided to drop the russian silver line as I wasnt happy with the health of them. Instead we are concentrating on a siamese line and starting a new line which will be revealed shortly.
keep checking back for some exciting news hopefully happening very shortly!

This is the first post in the Destiny Rattery blog-I have never done blogging before so please bare with me!
We have had a very busy week this week. It started of on an emergency operation on Monday on one of our lads Cosmo, the other boys seemed to have attacked him for some reason. Cosmo had to have a kidney removed and his nads stitched back into place, and is now on antibiotics to help stop infection.
We said goodbye to Pluto this week who peacefully passed away in his sleep at the grand age of 30 months. Sadly this left his cage mate Roo on his own, so Roo is currently in the house keeping Cosmo company.
Ramkin Skye and Campion Perseus spent the night together on Friday, so we are hoping for the sound of eeping very soon. The kittens should be russian blue and blue point siamese in both top ear and dumbo.
The rats have been feeling the cold this week, so have been enjoying lots of extra bedding to make them comfortable.
